Central had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 74-53 margin over the Buford Yellow Jackets. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Central to victory were Caden Edmond and Tazhir Webber. Edmond dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds, while Webber posted 22 points and four steals. Webber is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Jordan Crowder was another key player, putting up five points along with six boards and five assists.

Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in nine consecutive games.

Blake Duncan and Gage McManus certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Duncan put up 11 points and seven rebounds, while McManus dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Bryce Bridges, who had four points and three steals.

Central has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Buford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Central will venture away from home to square off against Andrew Jackson at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
