The Larimore Polar Bears came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Cavalier 58-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Larimore's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Myers, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 19 rebounds.
