The Wray Eagles's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Elbert Bulldogs at 8:00  p.m.  on March 1st. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  matchup.
 Wray and Merino squared off in some playoff action  on Saturday, but sadly Wray had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of  47-44.
 Despite their  loss, Wray saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  AB Ruiz, who  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and 12  rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Ruiz hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was  Rafael Trejo, who  scored 13 points along with five  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Elbert suffered a  rough 67-47 defeat at the hands of Byers  last Tuesday. Elbert was down  52-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
  Logan LaFollette put forth a good effort for the losing side as  he  almost  dropped  a double-double on 17 points and nine  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Steve Smith, who  scored eight points along with eight  rebounds.
 Wray's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Elbert, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.
 Friday's  contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting:  Wray  have been dynamite from deep this season,  having  made 43.6% of their  threes per game. However, it's not like Elbert struggles in that department as   they've  made 43.2% of their  threes this season.
