Dyer County is 2-8 against Lexington since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Dyer County will be playing in front of their home fans against Lexington at 5:30 p.m. Dyer County is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
On Tuesday, Dyer County made easy work of Jackson Christian and carried off a 13-3 win. Considering the Choctaws have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Molly Woody made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Woody was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that she hit this season.

Dyer County pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lexington, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5-1.
Dyer County was able to grind out a solid win over Lexington when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 4-1. Will Dyer County repeat their success, or does Lexington has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
