After a string of five wins, the Bible Baptist Christian Wolves's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 58-51 to Trinity Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bible Baptist Christian has scored all season.
Bible Baptist Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Coleman, who scored 13 points along with five steals. Coleman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Samuel Rahming was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Trinity Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Will George, who scored 25 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Harper, who scored eight points along with 19 rebounds.
Bible Baptist Christian's defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-2. As for Trinity Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bible Baptist Christian will take on Crossroads Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crossroads Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while Bible Baptist Christian is ranked 286th). As for Trinity Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Covenant Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Covenant Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 last Tuesday.
