In what's become a running theme this season, the Wakefield Wolverines gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They breezed by Heritage at home to the tune of 63-22. Winning may never get old, but Wakefield sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Wakefield found their leader in underclassman Lyla Bagwell, who scored ten points along with six assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaya Hamilton, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Wakefield has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Heritage, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Wakefield has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Knights at 6:15 p.m. on January 30th. Knightdale is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Heritage, they will face off against the Rams at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Rolesville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
