The Fort Bend Clements Rangers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Ridge Point Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Fort Bend Clements has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 361 points over their last six contests.
It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Fort Bend Clements ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Fort Bend Travis out 58-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Fort Bend Clements' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryce Mathews, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mathews has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Joshua Clark, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks.
Meanwhile, Ridge Point unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Fort Bend Elkins by a score of 60-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Fort Bend Clements' win bumped their record up to 24-0. As for Ridge Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8.
Fort Bend Clements skirted past Ridge Point 63-60 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Bend Clements since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
