Kimball is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Tracy is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Jaguars will challenge the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kimball is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Last Thursday, Kimball was able to grind out a solid victory over West, taking the game 5-2. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by exactly three runs.
Briana Quintero looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Saige Dodds was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, while Tracy put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for West. The Bulldogs blew past the Wolfpack 18-0. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Hayden Fell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Tracy got a massive performance out of Taylor Sansaver, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Sansaver has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Taylor Munoz, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.
Tracy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West struck out ten times.
Tracy's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Kimball, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Kimball hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. However, it's not like Tracy struggles in that department as they've averaged .364. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Kimball came out on top in a nail-biter against Tracy when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 7-5. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
