The Maple Heights Mustangs were the 64-50 winner over the Bedford Bearcats when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Maple Heights fell to Bedford 58-53.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bedford to victory, but perhaps none more so than JJ Hudson, who scored 21 points along with three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hudson has scored at least a third of Bedford's points. Another player making a difference was Terrell Pollard, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Maple Heights' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11. As for Bedford, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Maple Heights will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shaw at 6:30 p.m. on February 15th. As for Bedford, they will be playing at home against Emmanuel Christian at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Emmanuel Christian is coming into the game with five straight wins on the road, so Bedford is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
