Softball Recap: Ridgefield Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Ridgefield barely beat Ludlowe the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Falcons on Friday. The Tigers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2nd (when they won 18-0).

Sonia Gaughran was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Piper Keane, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Ridgefield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ludlowe only posted an OBP of .062.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Ridgefield, bringing their record up to 13-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Ludlowe, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

As of now, neither Ridgefield nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
