The Catoctin Cougars stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Brunswick, posting a 59-20 victory on the road. The victory was nothing new for Catoctin as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Leading Catoctin to victory were Brooke Williams and Kayden Glotfelty. Williams scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Glotfelty scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Glotfelty has scored all season. Kelsey Troxell was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Brunswick still got an impressive performance from Andie Welsh, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. Welsh is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Stefanic, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Catoctin's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Brunswick, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Coincidentally, Catoctin and Brunswick will both be playing Clear Spring the next time they take the court. Brunswick will host Clear Spring at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Catoctin will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
