Southbridge and Quaboag Regional are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Southbridge Pioneers will head out on the road to take on the Quaboag Regional Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Massachusetts (Southbridge is ranked 199th, while Quaboag Regional is ranked 212th).
Southbridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Uxbridge by a score of 41-39.
Meanwhile, Quaboag Regional came up short against Prouty on Thursday and fell 55-44. Quaboag Regional has not had much luck with Prouty recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Southbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Quaboag Regional, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Southbridge beat Quaboag Regional 61-50 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southbridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
