Lawrence extended the longest winning streak in A Pine Tree this week by beating Messalonskee, 21-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Bangor and Skowhegan played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Bangor eventually emerging with a 30-27 victory.
The Indians' Adam Clukey and Grant Benson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Clukey has thrown for 254 yards this season, while Benson has eight catches for 162 yards. Malik Geiger from Oxford Hills leads the league in rushing with 269 yards.
The marquee game in A Pine Tree this week will be the clash between Cony and Brunswick. The Rams enters the contest ranked 14th in the state, while the Dragons ranks 21st.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Eagles take on Lawrence. Messalonskee has allowed 121 points this season, while John Hersom's team has given up 85. Wes Littlefield's team allowed 21 points last week as it lost to the Bulldogs.
