The Bandys Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 80-34 win over West Lincoln at home. Winning may never get old, but Bandys sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Leading Bandys to victory were Kate Dutka and Addison Bell. Dutka scored 20 points along with two steals, while Bell scored 19 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Anderson, who scored 12 points along with seven steals.
When it comes to explaining why West Lincoln lost, one person who can't be blamed is Carolina Robinson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. That was a full 41.2% of West Lincoln's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
West Lincoln struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Bandys racked up 23 assists.
Bandys has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for West Lincoln, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bandys will take on East Burke at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Burke knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 17 contests -- so hopefully Bandys likes a good challenge. As for West Lincoln, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maiden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
