The Lakes Lancers are taking a road trip to  face off against the Mount Tahoma T-Birds  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Mount Tahoma will  square off against  a team with plenty of momentum: Lakes extended their winning streak to eight on Friday. The Lancers blew past Capital, posting  a  47-6 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lancers' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Cougars are ranked 77th).

Lakes' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jadis Lefono, who threw for 216 yards and three  TDs on only 17 passes, and also punched in one  touchdown on the ground. Those  216  passing yards gave  Lefono a new career-high. Lakes also got help from  Ean Owens, who showed off his sure hands for 158  receiving yards.
 Lakes was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 238  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 182  rushing yards in four consecutive  matchups.
Meanwhile, Mount Tahoma took their  contest  on Friday with ease, bagging  a  45-6 victory over Silas. The  win continues a trend for the T-Birds in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.
 Mount Tahoma's win came from a few key players Lakes will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Keshawn Hines, who rushed for 66 yards and a pair of  scores on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mikkah Cordero, who rushed for 33 yards and one  touchdown.
 Lakes' record is now 8-0. As for Mount Tahoma, their record now sits at an identical 8-0.
Friday's   game might be decided on the ground. Lakes has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 197.1  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Mount Tahoma struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 203.8  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
