The Tidehaven Tigers will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Daingerfield Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Tidehaven knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Daingerfield likes a good challenge.
With a playoff game on the line, Tidehaven rose to the challenge on Friday. They secured a 34-28 W over the Pirates. Tidehaven's victory was all the more impressive since Poth was averaging only 8.29 points allowed on the season.
Meanwhile, Daingerfield put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 42-21 margin over Newton. The victory was nothing new for Daingerfield as they're now sitting on four straight.
It was another big night for Chase Johnson, who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. Another player making a difference was Ashton Williams, who rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Tidehaven's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Daingerfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
