DeMatha found their leader in underclassman Ashton (ace) Meeks, who scored 22 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Meeks has scored at least 25% of DeMatha's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malcolm Thomas, who scored 14 points.
Eleanor Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for DeMatha, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Eleanor Roosevelt won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bladensburg at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for DeMatha, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Campbell Hall at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Campbell Hall's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
