Kimball will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Lathrop in at 5:00 PM. Kimball will be strutting in after a win while Lathrop will be stumbling in from a loss.
Kimball had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Tracy with a 26-20 victory.
Meanwhile, Lathrop had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. Last Thursday, they lost to Manteca by a decisive 0-20 margin.
Lathrop's defeat took them down to 0-1 while Kimball's triumph pulled them up to write [team] current record. A win for Lathrop would reverse both their bad luck and Kimball's good luck. We'll see if Lathrop manages to pull off that tough task or if Kimball keeps their momentum going instead.
