The Vintage Crushers will face off against the St. Francis Troubadours at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
St. Francis will be up against a hot Vintage squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Crushers' pitcher stepped up to hand Orestimba a 9-0 shutout on Thursday. The Crushers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.
Noelle Rofkahr made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one double.

In other batting news, Vintage let Carlee Carter and Angie Rubalcava run wild. Carter went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Rubalcava went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Carter a new career-high. Abygail Sims was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Vintage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Orestimba only posted a batting average of .190.
Meanwhile, St. Francis made easy work of Berkeley on Thursday and carried off an 11-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Troubadours.
Kaili Heeb was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.
In other batting news, Alexis McFarland and Claire Krotine did most of the damage at the plate: McFarland went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Krotine went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariella Alcantar, who earned three runs and one stolen base.
Vintage's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for St. Francis, their win bumped their record up to 4-15.
St. Francis' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Vintage has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for St. Francis, though, as they've been averaging only 2.8 strikeouts. Will Vintage keep running through batters, or will the Troubadours buck the trend?
Everything went Vintage's way against St. Francis in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, as Vintage made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crushers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
