Central Virginia Disciples had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. The New Year welcomed they with a 59-27 whooping from L.C. Bird on Friday. Central Virginia Disciples lost against L.C. Bird in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 71-36 score last time.
Trinity Dale continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for L.C. Bird, scoring 23 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliyah Elliott, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Central Virginia Disciples' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for L.C. Bird, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Central Virginia Disciples does not have any more games scheduled as of now. L.C. Bird will stay at home for another game and welcome Huguenot at 7:15 p.m. on January 9th. Huguenot is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
