The Manchester Red Hawks will be home for the holidays to greet the Tolland Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Manchester focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Manchester earned a 42-35 win over Ellington. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Manchester.
Tiara Tyson had a dynamite game for Manchester, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Tyson has scored at least 25% of Manchester's points.
Meanwhile, Tolland took a serious blow against Northwest Catholic on Tuesday, falling 61-19. While losing is never fun, Tolland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Northwest Catholic is ranked first).
Manchester now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Tolland, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2.
Manchester was able to grind out a solid win over Tolland when the teams last played back in February, winning 58-45. Does Manchester have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tolland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
