Southland took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Blooming Prairie, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Awesome Blossoms on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Rebels, who have now won three matchups in a row.
Easton Meyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
