Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, a fact the Denver North Vikings proved on Friday. They took down Adams City 70-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Denver North also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Denver North's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Aubuchon, who scored 17 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aubuchon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Roman Perez, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Despite the loss, Adams City still got an impressive performance from Kevin Casillas, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Casillas hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Copher, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.

Denver North the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Kennedy is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Adams City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Aurora Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Aurora Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
