After a string of three wins, the Roosevelt Rough Riders's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 65-57 to Moanalua. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Moanalua can attribute much of their success to Gavin Pommerenk, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Kimbrough, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Moanalua, their victory bumped their record up to 8-18.
Roosevelt will be playing at home against Kalaheo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Moanalua, they will head out on the road to face off against Kaiser at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kaiser has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
