HILLSBORO, Ore. -
Aloha (Beaverton, Ore.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Nick Krautsheid thew a touchdown to
Thomas Tyner with 2:00 left, bringing the team to victory over
Glencoe (Hillsboro, Ore.) 38-35.
After trailing 17-14 at the half, the Crimson Tide went ahead on a Tyner touchdown run with 11:00 remaining in the third.
Both teams scored 14 points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at three entering the fourth.
Tyner stood out for Aloha in the win. The senior running back ran for four touchdowns and caught one touchdown. A member of the Top 25 Running Backs, Tyner has now scored 35 touchdowns on the season.
The victory was a step in the right direction for AHS, which was coming off a 49-39 defeat at the hands of Southridge in its previous game. The defeat comes as a step back for Glencoe, which notched a 28-17 victory over Barlow in its previous outing.
