Meanwhile, Sharon's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Karns City a 10-0 shutout. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Like Hubbard, Sharon also got a great game from a two-way player: Madelyn Vogan. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Vogan has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Sharon got a massive performance out of Addie McFann, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Claire Bodien, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Sharon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Karns City only posted a batting average of .056.
Hubbard's record is now 3-0. As for Sharon, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
