The West Jones Mustangs will be home for the holidays to greet the Taylorsville Tartars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Jones knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Taylorsville likes a good challenge.
West Jones pushed their score all the way to 60 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to St. Patrick 65-60.
Meanwhile, Taylorsville came up short against Laurel last Friday and fell 53-45.
West Jones has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Taylorsville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Everything came up roses for West Jones against Taylorsville when the teams last played back in December of 2014 as the squad secured a 78-43 win. Does West Jones have another victory up their sleeve, or will Taylorsville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
