McCallie is 10-0 against Chattanooga Christian since November of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The McCallie Blue Tornado will head out on the road to face off against the Chattanooga Christian Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully McCallie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
Last Friday, McCallie faced Baylor in a battle between two of the state's top teams. McCallie fell to Baylor 64-58. It was the first time this season that McCallie let down their fans at home.
McCallie's loss came about despite a quality game from Parker Robison, who scored 28 points along with five assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Gallman, who scored 13 points.
McCallie struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Chattanooga Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 76-46 loss at the hands of Webb. While losing is never fun, Chattanooga Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Webb is ranked 11th).
McCallie's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-2. As for Chattanooga Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6.
McCallie was able to grind out a solid win over Chattanooga Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 71-61. Will McCallie repeat their success, or does Chattanooga Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
