Lockport and North Tonawanda are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Lockport Lions will head out on the road to face off against the North Tonawanda Lumberjacks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, Lockport ended up a good deal behind Wilson and lost 54-40.
Meanwhile, North Tonawanda had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Nichols an easy 64-38 win.
Lockport's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-1. As for North Tonawanda, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Lockport came up short against North Tonawanda in their previous meeting back in February, falling 48-37. Can Lockport avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
