The Chesapeake Panthers will challenge the Wayne Pioneers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
Thursday just wasn't the day for Chesapeake's offense. They came up short against Meigs on Thursday, falling 11-0. The loss put an end to the Panthers' undefeated start to the season.

Averi Napier made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Lexi Blankenship was incredible, going 1-for-2 with five RBI and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Lexi Napier was another key player, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Wayne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .792. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Having lost for the first time this season, Chesapeake fell to 2-1. As for Wayne, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
