The Jonathan Alder Pioneers will face off against the Hayes Pacers at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Jonathan Alder is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Jonathan Alder is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Dublin Jerome 18-2 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.
Taryn Miller looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Jonathan Alder got a massive performance out of Anna Engle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that Engle brought in this season. Riley Magginis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Jonathan Alder always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .658. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Hayes got themselves on the board against Antigo on Tuesday, but Antigo never followed suit. They came out on top against the Red Robins by a score of 3-0.
The result came thanks to Hannah McAllister's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, Lizzy Gould was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Curran, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Hayes' record is now 4-1. As for Jonathan Alder, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Jonathan Alder has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Hayes struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
