The Keefe Tech Broncos will head out on the road to face off against the Maynard Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keefe Tech will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Maynard is ranked 79th).
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought match, but Keefe Tech had to settle for a 55-53 loss against Blue Hills RVT. Keefe Tech has struggled against Blue Hills RVT recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Keefe Tech saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Eidan Toppa, who scored 17 points, was perhaps the best of all. It was the first time this season that Toppa scored 15 or more points. George Anastos was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Maynard ended up a good deal behind Clinton on Friday and lost 65-48. Maynard has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Keefe Tech has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Maynard, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
