If Clarkston were riding high off their 29-6 takedown of Orofino last Friday, that ride came to an abrupt end. Clarkston took a 14-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Valley. If Clarkston were expecting to get some payback for the 7-38 defeat against West Valley the last time they met, then they were left disappointed.
The loss dropped Clarkston's record to 2-3. The win bumped West Valley's record up to 4-1.
Next week Clarkston take on Pullman at 7:00 PM. West Valley will be playing at home against Lakeland at at 7:00 PM. Those two teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.
