The Vallejo Redhawks are taking a road trip to  take on the El Cerrito Gauchos  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their  contests after big wins in their previous games.
Vallejo is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have   all season. They took their  matchup  on Friday with ease, bagging  a  56-26 win over Pinole Valley. The Redhawks pushed the score to  56-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans cut but never quite recovered from.

 Carlisto Valetino had a dynamite game, rushing for 92 yards and two  TDs on only seven carries, while also picking up 36 receiving yards. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 54 yards.  Marquise Collier did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 117  receiving yards.
 Vallejo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over.  Elijah Peace picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 Meanwhile, El Cerrito had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They put the hurt on the Pride with a sharp  40-14 victory. Considering the Gauchos have won three games by more than 25  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Vallejo's record now sits at 5-2. As for El Cerrito, their record is now an identical 5-2.
