There's no place like home for the Cranston West Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Sunday. They blew past Westerly 71-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cranston West also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cranston West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maia Riccio, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kyla Buco, who scored 19 points.
Cranston West's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2. As for Westerly, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Cranston West will head out on the road to face off against South Kingstown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westerly will be home for the holidays to greet St. Raphael Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
