Morgan County took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Razorbacks on Friday. If Morgan County was looking for revenge after losing 41-38 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
When it comes to explaining why Morgan County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaden Young. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Kymora Smith was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Micheala Bogans was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists for Cross Creek. Another player making a difference was Tahjae Hawes, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Morgan County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Cross Creek, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 19-4.
Morgan County will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harlem is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Cross Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hephzibah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 429th, while the Razorbacks are ranked 89th).
