The Bay Rockets will face off against the Midview Middies at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Midview took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bay, who comes in off a win.
Bay came out on top against Rocky River on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Rockets walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Pirates. The game was the first time the Rockets have beaten the Pirates on their field since April 18, 2023.

Ben Schrock and Andrew Liatti dominated on the mound. Schrock pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Liatti struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. Schrock has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Bay got a massive performance out of Ethan Sedivec, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Chase Prudhoe, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Bay was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Midview didn't have quite enough to beat Buckeye on Wednesday and fell 7-6.
Samuel Linden was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That run marked the first that he has scored this season. Jake Derringer was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.
Midview has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Bay, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Everything went Bay's way against Midview in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Bay made off with a 10-1 victory. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Middies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
