This season hasn't been kind to the Beallsville Blue Devils, who are still winless after their seventh game. They took a 47-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hundred on Friday. Beallsville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hundred apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Hundred was led to victory by Colt Sandy and Brayden Bartrug. Sandy dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Bartrug dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Sandy has scored at least 25% of Hundred's points. Another player making a difference was Trey Huggins, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Beallsville bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hundred, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beallsville will take on Newcomerstown at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Newcomerstown is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Hundred, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Turkeyfoot Valley Area at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Turkeyfoot Valley Area's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
