Skyline had won three straight  games  and  Zayden Burks did his part to make it four on Friday. The Hawks blew past the Millbrook Pioneers 44-20 for which the team can thank  Burks, who rushed for 303 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Skyline's success: when he posts  at  least two  rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
 Skyline didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Burks,  Marques Lockhart,  and  Andre Ford picked up one apiece. Burks' rushing production has been exceptional  as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 124  rushing yards. Ford got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
Skyline now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Millbrook,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Skyline is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Brentsville District  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Millbrook will  take on  rival Liberty  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 30th.
