This season hasn't been kind to the Clarke Prep Gators, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 63-26 loss at the hands of Bessemer Academy. Clarke Prep has not had much luck with Bessemer Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Leading Bessemer Academy to victory were Kane Burns and Johnathan Winston. Burns scored ten points along with three steals, while Winston scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Turner, who scored 11 points.
Clarke Prep's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-10. As for Bessemer Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.
Clarke Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bessemer Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fort Dale Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Fort Dale Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
