After a string of five wins, Pine View's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.
Pine View started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 19-25, 25-16, 25-19, 15-11.
Nathan Mitchell paced Pine View's offense, picking up 16 kills. Mitchell got some help from Isaiah Warner and his 36 assists.
Colsen Neal was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 17 digs and one assist. Garrett Campbell also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.
