Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northern Nash). They blew past the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets 50-29 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Knights have posted since December 15, 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Roanoke Rapids lost, don't look at Shaniah Daniels. Despite the final result, she posted eight points along with 11 rebounds and six blocks. Daniels is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season. Sofie Wade was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

The win (which was Northern Nash's third in a row) raised their record to 4-8. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Roanoke Rapids, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northern Nash will take on Nash Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roanoke Rapids has already played their next match (against Franklinton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
