Basketball Recap: Parkway Northwest Sets Scoring Season-High Against Philadelphia Military Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Parkway Northwest). They enjoyed a cozy 57-42 victory over the Philadelphia Military Academy Knights on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Hoyas have won by exactly 15 points.

Parkway Northwest got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kahleem Jordan out in front who posted 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jordan has scored at least a third of Parkway Northwest's points. Another player making a difference was Jaicir Isaac, who had 15 points.

Philadelphia Military Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Wahhaj Cheeks, who earned 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daijon Crawford, who put up 11 points.

Parkway Northwest pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Philadelphia Military Academy, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Parkway Northwest will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech at 3:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Parkway Northwest's offense will have their work cut out for them. Philadelphia Military Academy will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Swenson Arts & Tech at 3:15 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
