Softball Recap: Central Florida Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Central Florida Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Oasis Christian Lions, falling 21-11. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 two weeks ago.

Elisabeth Brenyo led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tatum Ingram, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Central Florida Christian Academy's record is now 3-10. As for Oasis Christian, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Florida Christian Academy will face off against Calvary Chapel Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Florida Christian Academy is facing Calvary Chapel Academy at the right time seeing as Calvary Chapel Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Oasis Christian, they will challenge First Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.08 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
