Claiborne Academy is 0-5 against River Oaks since October of 2015 but things could change  on Friday. The Rebels will be playing at home against the Mustangs  at 7:00  p.m.
Claiborne Academy fought the good fight in their overtime  game against Prairie View Academy  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell  32-26 to the Spartans. The  contest marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.

 Despite the  loss, Claiborne Academy got top-tier performance from   Dylan Buckner, who rushed for 118 yards and two  TDs on only nine carries, and also picked up 33 receiving yards and one  touchdown. Buckner's longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Claiborne Academy also got help from  Nate Smith, who showed off his sure hands for 81  receiving yards.
Meanwhile, River Oaks faced Prairie View Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. The Mustangs blew past the Spartans 46-26. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 20  points or more this season.
 Claiborne Academy better focus on containing  Andrew Robinson and  Byron Price as the pair were huge in River Oaks' win. Robinson rushed for 84 yards and a pair of  scores, while  Price rushed for 113 yards and a pair of  TDs.
 Having lost for the first time  this season, Claiborne Academy  fell to 8-1. As for River Oaks, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
