On Saturday, Lassen earned a 64-51 victory over Fall River. The victory was all the more spectacular given Lassen's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 793rd, while Fall River is ranked 359th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lassen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joey Harrison, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Harrison grabbed two or more steals. Conner Finks was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Lassen's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Fall River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lassen will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Anderson at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th. Fall River will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Modoc at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Hopefully Modoc focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Tuesday.
