Northwest Kansas recap Oct. 30, 2012
Oakley extended the longest winning streak in Northwest Kansas this week by beating Ellis, 18-12. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Oakley and the Railroaders played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Oakley eventually emerging with a 18-12 victory.
Decatur Community's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dayton Dreher threw for 12 yards and Konnor Fortin had 12 yards receiving. On the ground Chris Anderson chipped in 99 yards.
Wichita County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jantz Budde has thrown for 1004 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Bryce Nickelson has 50 catches for 460 yards. Budde also leads the league in rushing with 754 yards.
The Red Devils led Northwest Kansas in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Wichita County. Anderson in the win.
