The Trinity Christian Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Chilton Christian Academy, falling 55-15. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Trinity Christian in their matchups with Chilton Christian Academy: they've now lost eight in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chilton Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaylee Calloway, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Calloway hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Emma Camp was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Trinity Christian dropped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.3 points per game. As for Chilton Christian Academy, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will take on Grace Classical Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Grace Classical Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 back in December of 2023. As for Chilton Christian Academy, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Victory Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Victory Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Chilton Christian Academy is ranked 99th).
