Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Byers). They breezed by the Strayhorn Mustangs to the tune of 79-28 on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.

Byers' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7. As for Strayhorn, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Byers Lions challenge the Charleston Tigers at 2:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Strayhorn, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Water Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
