Wingfield might have drawn first blood against North Pike on Friday, but it was North Pike who got the last laugh. Wingfield were given a punishing 18-60 loss at the hands of North Pike. If Wingfield were expecting to get some payback for the 12-28 loss against North Pike the last time they met, then they were left disappointed.
Wingfield are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-7. The victory bumped North Pike's record up to 2-4.
Next week Wingfield take on Laurel at 7:00 PM. As for North Pike, they will face off against West Jones. West Jones also lit up the scoreboard in their last game, so this could be a high-scoring game.
